2017 is my third year attending the Gold Cup Festival in Cheltenham, concentrating not on the racing, but on photographing the hospitality and what happens behind the scenes. It’s always an incredible week, the food, the venues, the setup and organisation that goes into catering for in excess of 50,000 people per day always amazes me.
During the festival, I walked a total of 36 miles between various restaurants and bars and climbed 133 flights of stairs (which is nothing compared with some of the staff working the event) and shot around 3000 images.
Here are just a few of them….and not a horse in sight (well, maybe a couple)!
