Four Waterfalls Photography Walk - Brecon Beacons
Today, we drove to the Brecon Beacons to walk the Four Waterfalls trail with some good friends of ours. It’s been a little while since we’ve been to Wales, and driving the long, smooth roads with incredible vistas all around made me think we really need to visit more often. We arrived at Gwaun Hepste car park and set out on the 5.5-mile circular trail. The day had started quite chilly, but as the sun climbed in the sky, so did the temperature. The trek through the woodland, s

Exploring the Acropolis in Lindos, Rhodes
We’ve recently returned from a short break on the Greek island of Rhodes. We stayed in the picturesque village of Lindos with its cobbled streets and white-washed buildings. But, more on Lindos in another post. Situated atop a 116m cliff in Lindos is the Acropolis. Just before sunset one evening, we climbed over 250 steps to visit the site. The views from the top are incredible, and walking in the footsteps of ancient Greeks and Romans, dating back to the 6th century BC (when

Shelley and Pauls Vow Renewal at Thornbury CastleÂ
Just over fifteen years ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Shelley and Paul's wedding at Puckrup Hall. Over the years, we have remained friends. Fast forward fifteen years to a couple of days after Christmas, and I had the absolute honour to photograph them again, renewing their vows in front of their closest family and friends at the incredible Thornbury Castle . The day was a typically British overcast day, but that certainly didn’t dampen everyone's spirits. The day,

Chez Roux tasting for the Epsom Derby 2026 - Food Photography.
A couple of weeks ago, I returned to Epsom Racecourse to photograph the food to be served in the Chez Roux restaurant during the Epsom Derby. Whilst I was there, I captured some "behind the scenes" images. You can see them here . However, the real reason I was there was to provide the food photography to promote the amazing food developed by Chef Claude, Michel Roux and the team. And it really did look great!

Trekking the Volcán de Tajogaite in La Palma
During our recent visit to the Canarian island of La Palma, we visited the Volcán de Tajogaite . Tajogaite is the most recent volcano to have erupted on the volcanic island. It famously erupted on September 19th 2021, and didn’t cease until 85 days later. As the lava flowed towards the sea, around 1,600 buildings were destroyed or damaged, including over 1,300 homes. More than 7000 people were evacuated. To visit Tajogaite, we took an organised tour with La Palma Natural as

Epsom Chez Roux Tasting - Candid images from around the table
Over the years, I have photographed many, many menu tastings at various restaurants and venues. The head chefs will write and meticulously plan the menus months in advance. They will carefully select the ingredients, very often locally sourced and seasonal. They will consider every detail, right down to the plate on which the food will be served and how it’s plated. Then and only then, there will be a tasting where a group of people will gather around a table and spend many h

Epsom Derby Food Tasting 2026
Last week I was at EpsomRacecourse for my first photography job of the year. I was there to photograph the dishes that will be served at this year's Epsom Derby. The Derby is always a great event, and the food is no exception. Head Chef Rhys and the team have really put together an amazing menu. Here are just a few of my favorite dishes.

Prestbury Phantoms Girls Squad Photography
It was great to be back with local football team, Prestbury Phantoms, again recently. It’s been a little while. Tonight, we were photographing the girls' squad for use in various promotional and social media packages by the club. We kept the portrait photography shoot simple, using just a single light and a blue background to contrast with the new Prestbury Phantoms kit. With over eighty girls to photograph in a short space of time, it was a frantic photo shoot, but the girls

Cheltenham Chez Roux - Food Photography
A couple of weeks ago, I was back at Cheltenham Racecourse doing some food photography, capturing the stunning food that will be served during the Cheltenham Gold Cup festival 2026 in the Chez Roux restaurant. As always, the food just looked incredible, and when the dishes are given to me to photograph straight from the kitchen, they smell incredible too. I just want to eat them, not photograph them. Honestly, it’s really not easy to be a food photographer sometimes! Here are

Prescott Hill Climb Season Finale 2025
Today was the season finale at Prescott Hill Climb near Cheltenham. It was a cold, blustery day, but there was plenty of action throughout the day to distract from the biting wind. With flying wheels, flying signage, big crashes, and oil slicks, the marshals were certainly kept busy. Here are a few of my images from an action-packed day...
